With the onset of the digital switchover from analog, Radio stations currently broadcasting on medium wave will upgrade to DAB. However, despite the popularity of DAB radio sets with consumers, the vast majority of radio listening continues to be analog.
During the transition to digital radio, broadcasters operate in a “hybrid” mode, transmitting analog and digital broadcasts side by side within a single AM or FM channel. The new digital technology will have minimal impact on present broadcast services and consumers will continue to receive their current analog stations with minimal disruption.
At Broadcast Australia, we have the experience and resources to continue existing analog services whilst facilitating a smooth transition to the new digital platform.
