Broadcast Australia is currently seeking a number of enthusiastic and self motivated Broadcast Technicians with an interest in broadcast or digital technology to fill a full-time vacancy across Australia.
The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced, highly skilled technical team to assist in the repair and maintenance of the regional broadcast facilities.
Your key responsibilities will include; service restoration; corrective and preventative maintenance; proof of performance testing; managing and supervising contractors; reporting and documenting; and maintaining safe workplaces.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Hold a Diploma in Electronic engineering/electro-technology or be willing to undertake on-the-job training;
- Experience fixing technical equipment such as TVs and Radios
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be away from home and work on an on call roster
- A full drivers license;
The successful candidate will be expected to work normal business hours with some overtime/weekend work and away from home.

Finance Manager – Sydney
|
Broadcast Australia is seeking a Finance Manager for our Service Delivery Unit (SDU). Your primary role will be to provide high quality and timely financial information and guidance to the Business. You will have to build trust and confidence with your SDU client group, demonstrating accuracy and insight to prove your value to the decision making process. You will be a role model to the team and will develop, mentor and manage the employees in the SDU Finance function.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare clear and reliable financial, management and project accounting information
- Prepare the annual budget submission for the SDU and provide support to the SDU cost centre managers in all budget matters
- Coordinate the monthly cash-flow forecasting for the SDU as per timetable
- Provide information for statutory and re-financing purposes
- Give general support to the General Manager Finance and the overall function as required
- Participate in ad hoc business development opportunities by providing financially astute analysis and comment
- Review current Finance business systems and propose appropriate areas for improvement
- Develop, mentor and manage the staff within the SDU finance function
- Demonstrate a duty of care in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, customers and contractors

IT Programme Manager - Sydney

- Identify appropriate solutions to meet current and future system needs of the business

- Review and report the success of projects against their aims and target return on investment
- Define and apply IT project governance processes

Broadcast Australia's subsidiary company The Bridge Networks is currently seeking a Quality Assurance and OHS Manager.
Job Purpose:
- To be responsible for the management of the company's Quality and Safety Management Systems
- Identifying, implementing and reviewing strategies and opportunities for improving the OH&S culture across the business with the goal of zero harm to the workforce
- The development of quality strategies and ensuring the implementation of systems that will drive positive change for our customers and our employees
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance Management Representation
- Maintain quality processes and standards to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 compliance requirements with the goal of continual improvement
- Establish appropriate systems to ensure efficiency
- Maintain safety processes to AS4801 and FSC compliance requirements with the goal of zero harm. Establish appropriate systems to ensure efficiency
- Establish effective Quality Management System & OHS objectives and targets for all levels of the business, communicate to and train the business and ensure compliance through reporting mechanisms
- Audit the quality and OHS processes and systems to ensure compliance of the policies and procedures
- Responsible for control of quality and safety issues and ensuring that effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented
- Implement external audit corrective actions for both Quality and OHS processes and systems in a timely and efficient manner
- Establish appropriate quality and safety training for all levels of management and the business
- Lead safety initiatives across the organisation, to continue to build the safety culture and work towards zero injuries and incidents
- Monitor and assist as required with incident investigations
- Provide guidance and support to the workforce in helping them to deliver effective and efficient quality processes, to adopt appropriate safety behaviours and work methods and to assist them with change when required
To be successful in this role you should have:
- A minimum of 7 years experience in Quality Assurance & OHS Management Systems including, the implementation and management of the company ISO Certification/OH&S accreditation (AS 4801) processes, preferably in a construction/infrastructure environment
- Relevant qualifications in OH&S and Quality Assurance / Management
- Qualified internal auditor for both Quality Assurance and OH&S Management Systems
- Workplace Training and Assessment Certification (desirable)
- Well developed process skills
- Strong analysis and problem identification skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and across divisional boundaries
- Ability to stimulate and motivate others to comply with Quality and OH&S
