DIGITAL FORTY FOUR gives Sydney a little more
17 Dec 2008
For those of you in the Sydney metropolitan area, with either a digital TV or digital set top box, you might have seen some changes recently on the DIGITAL FORTY FOUR channels.
DIGITAL FORTY FOUR is a trial which provides ten free-to-air services established by Broadcast Australia to assess the technical and commercial viability of infocasting and narrowcasting services.
Two new channels have been recently added to this service: NITV (National Indigenous TV) and Teachers TV, which bring with them programming targeting specific sections of the community.
DIGITAL FORTY FOUR is being broadcast to approximately 3.8 million people across the Sydney metropolitan area.
