Some of Broadcast Australia's telecommunication's team recently took part in the NSW Mobile Radio Industry's Annual Charity Picnic and Race Day.
The day is a key event on the NSW radio industry's calendar and is held to raise funds for charity and provide an opportunity for industry networking. The highlight of the day is the "Spurious Challenge", a yacht race which this year kicked off from the Middle Harbour Yacht Club.
A Broadcast Australia team won the event five minutes ahead of its nearest rival. The race course saw them take in some of Sydney's most spectacular sites as it travelled through Sydney Harbour under the world-famous bridge, around Goat Island, then back to Middle Harbour Yacht Club at The Spit.
Proceeds raised on the day were donated to the Victorian Bush Fire Appeal.
