New Owners of the Broadcast Australia Group

On 22nd July 2009, Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group (MCG) was acquired by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB).

CPPIB brief Broadcast Australia Group staffUpon the completion of this acquisition, CPPIB took control of the Broadcast Australia Group of companies, including 100% of Broadcast Australia, The Bridge Networks and Hostworks. The acquisition of MCG also resulted in CPPIB taking control of the MCG interests in Airwave (UK) and Arqiva.

CPPIB representatives Graeme Bevans (Vice-President and Head of Infrastructure) and Robert Wall (Principal - Infrastructure), spent some time in Sydney recently to meet and greet the local teams in their new roles as members of the Board of Broadcast Australia. Speaking with staff members within the Broadcast Australia Chatswood office, Graeme took time to inform the team on the background to CPPIB and its focus for the future.
