Broadcast Operator - Gore Hill
Broadcast Australia is currently seeking an additional team member to join our 24 x 7 Network Operations Centre as a Broadcast Operator.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provision of timely advice to national broadcasters and other customers regarding significant events that may affect their audiences;
- Ability to accept, acknowledge and respond to transmitter alarms and initiate controls as appropriate;
- Deal with a range of external contractors and electricity companies;
- Process planned outages and site access for customers and contractors;
- Document the progress of each fault within our internal system.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A diploma level qualification in Electronic / Electrical Engineering and or practical experience with working with broadcast telecommunication equipment
- Willingness to develop oneself and continuously learn about broadcast equipment and technology;
- Strong communication skills when liaising with customers and field technicians;
- Willingness to work rotating 8 to 12 hour flexible 24 x 7 shift patterns;
- Ability to prepare clear and concise fault reports.
